Your key responsibilities include
- Articulating the end-to-end data mesh vision aligned to the broader organization strategy and objectives.
- Providing innovative and practical data mesh architecture that is in line with the business objectives.
- Working across multiple data architecture projects with varied stakeholders, providing technical leadership and advisory services to the business by anticipating needs and potential objections.
- Leading in the creation, maintenance and monitoring of on-premise or cloud infrastructure, such as the design of end-to-end data platforms, development and operations of cloud management and design of distributed systems, handling structured and unstructured data.
- Staying up to date with changes in software and technology most relevant to EY, identifying packages and solutions that could meet solution requirements and developing request for proposal from vendors.
- Mentoring and coaching junior members of the team and reviewing work undertaken by more junior members of the team acting as a best practice/quality resource.
- Driving adherence to data management standards to promote optimization and consistency.

- Data Architecture and Design - capability to define the models and standards by which data is sourced, stored, distributed and governed within an organization.
- Enterprise Content Management - capability to define solutions that will catalog, organize and store an organization's internal unstructured information, e.g. word documents, emails etc.
- Master, Reference and Meta Data Management - capability to develop solutions that define the master data (internal glossary of key data items), the reference data (external glossary of standard data items and values) and meta data (the data that describes the data set).
- Vendor Package and Partner Selection - capability to identify software packages and solutions that could meet client solution requirements and develop requests for proposal (RFPs) from these vendors. Assist clients in the evaluation of the resulting proposals, including the package capabilities and fit to the requirements (business and technology), vendor proposals for pricing and support.

10+ years of professional, hands-on experience building complex solution (as an architect, team leader or technical leader).- 5+ years working in a data architect role including: designing and building complex data solutions.
- 3+ years’ experience with Azure or AWS cloud products and services.
- Advanced, hands-on design experience implementing large analytic warehouses, data fabrics/data mesh and/or data lake houses.
- Experience with data mesh and data fabric technologies; Databricks, Snowflake, Dremio or others.
- Experience in defining, designing and developing distributed and scalable products and services, including reusable domain-specific microservices on multi-platform /hybrid clouds (such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Rackspace, VMware, or OpenStack)
- Understanding ontology-based data management concept.
- Ability to facilitate design discussions and communicate architectural decisions.
- Ability to communicate technical matters clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences, win supporters and spur people to action.
- Experience in creating reliable solution plans in a cooperation with business and multi-disciplinary teams: costs estimation, delivery approaches.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking through a proven ability to research client inquiries and emerging issues related to regulations, industry practice and new application technologies.
- Excellent inter-personal, communication, collaboration, and presentation skills in English.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Hands-on, professional experience with BI/ETL technologies (especially SQL Server Platform, Power BI, Azure, T-SQL) or Big Data technologies (especially Hadoop ecosystem, Spark, Python).
- Strong understanding and experience with design techniques of relational databases, ETL, ODS, Data Warehouses, Data Marts, (e.g. relational/dimensional modelling, star schema/cube design, ETL and BI design, MDM hub design).
- Expertise in working with MPP designs to speed the performance of huge databases that deal with massive amounts of data.
- Strong understanding of data management concepts, MDM, governance, importance of security rules when handling data.
- Experience in using Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
