Trackwork Design Engineer

A well-known major contractor is looking for a trackwork design engineer to support two prestigious Light Rail Transit projects in Israel.

The Track work design Manager will carry out Track design, delivering Track Engineering activities and track submissions

Managing interfaces with Track Designer(s), different sub-systems having concern on the track works and site activities.

Qualifications:
Responsibilities include:

• Prepare all track related design documents.
• Ensure compliance with standards, technical specifications and technical evaluation of suppliers, providing technical assessment and analyse the design from track suppliers such as switches, fastenings, encapsulation, and so on.
• Analyse requirements and provide cost effective solutions to the track lead engineer.
• Ensure consistency and compatibility between all the sub-systems specifications.
• Participate in the track design for all interface issues and ensure of optimal design of interfaces.
• Manage and liaise with the Design Manager and Designer (s) to obtain approval of technical documents (mainly drawings).
• Manage the supervision of the different Trackworks activities to ensure they are executed following the design parameters and technical specifications.
• Manage the Designer(s) to obtain the Trackworks Bill of Quantities (BoQ).
• Helping on the preparation of any submittal to the Client and complete the analysis forms, namely, Request for Clarification (RFC), Claims, and all relevant documentation related to the Track activities.
• Manage with Designer(s) Site Changes Request (SCR).
• Manage Interface Documentation and coordination with other disciplines within the Project Team.
• Respect of Engineering Management Plan and Design Quality Plan.
• Integration of Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Safety (RAMS) requirements.
• Provide functional assessment on the Requirements Verification Matrix regarding interface hazard analysis.
• Develop, update and follow-up a detailed interface matrix and correspondent interface sheets by Support and manage the identification of all internal and external interfaces within the Project related to SOW for Trackworks sub-system
• Prepare all track related design documents.
• Ensure compliance with standards, technical specifications and technical evaluation of suppliers, providing technical assessment and analyse the design from track suppliers such as switches, fastenings, encapsulation, and so on.
• Analyse requirements and provide cost effective solutions to the track lead engineer.
  

• Ensure consistency and compatibility between all the sub-systems specifications.
• Participate in the track design for all interface issues and ensure of optimal design of interfaces.

The Trackworks Engineer shall be responsible for the overall management, control, administration and supervision of all interfaces related to Trackworks activities and actions required to be performed or implemented by or on behalf of the Project Company under and pursuant to the Agreement.

SKILLS:

• Good Level of speaking, reading and writing in English.
• Multiple task management and time management
• Solution oriented and practical engineering skills
• Good knowledge on AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Applications, Microsoft Project.
• Experience on railway projects preliminary design, detailed design and construction design
• Having experience on Track Design
• Experience on multi-disciplinary teams
